As one of the best-known travel brands in the world, Thomas Cook serves 19 million customers every year. The company’s vision is to create inspirational, personalised holiday experiences, and a comfortable environment is key to helping staff deliver on that promise.
The travel industry in general is also committed to minimising its carbon footprint, and Thomas Cook contributed to that by seeking out a new, more energy-efficient HVAC solution at its London offices.
361 Degrees was able to retain some of the building’s water chilled fan coil units, combining them with new Mitsubishi Electric air conditioning units. Air source heat pump technology was used to improve efficiency and reduce energy bills.
The majority of the units qualified for tax relief under the Enhanced Capital Allowance scheme, which meant Thomas Cook saved money as well as providing the right conditions for their team to deliver unforgettable experiences.
