Major HVAC installations often involve cranes to lift large units into position on a rooftop. The process demands precision, but with experience is usually straightforward. Sometimes, however, a little invention is necessary.

361 Degrees provided air conditioning solutions for office space at Somerset House in Birmingham, but the busy city centre location meant using a crane was not an option and the team had to find another way.

The condensers and air handling units were broken down at our headquarters, then each part was carefully raised through the central core of the six-storey building, taking great care to avoid damage to the stairwell. Once the components were in place, they were rebuilt and commissioned on site.
